About Us
Your pets will be comfortable and calmer in our feline only peaceful atmosphere with our piped in pet music. We do not care for dogs at our facility. Since 2000 we are a family owned and operated animal boarding facility situated on five wooded areas in Little Flock, Arkansas. Staff is on site Monday - Friday to attend to any and all needs your pet may have while staying at our facility. All pets are checked on a minimum of twice daily on the weekends as our family home is located on the same five wooden acres. We provide both short and long term boarding.
Our policy at Cat Cottage is to release a pet only to the owner unless the owner specifically authorizes release to another named individual. We are fully licensed and insured. We meet or exceed all local and Arkansas state pet boarding facility requirements and regulations. Cat Cottage follows the highest standards of sanitation in order to protect your pets' health. We disinfect all animal areas daily, using hospital grade disinfectants.
Our guests’ health and safety are one of our top priorities. Our guests’ medical records, personality profiles, and special needs are carefully recorded to ensure a safe and healthy stay at the Cat Cottage. If you feel your cat may be getting ill prior to boarding, please do not bring your cat to board! Feline Upper Respiratory Infection is very serious and can infect our facility. If your cat becomes ill while boarding, it will be removed from the facility immediately and taken to your veterinarian or emergency clinic. Delivery charges will apply. A credit card on file will ensure that your pet is evaluated without delay. In the rare event that a guest should require medical attention during their stay with us, every effort will be made to contact you and/or your emergency contact person for instructions, and your veterinarian on record. The Cat Cottage, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of our on call veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital for evaluation of a pet as deemed necessary.
Our pet technicians have Pet CPR and First Aid Certification. We are able to administer all medications including insulin injections for just a daily charge of two dollars. ($2) Each pet guest receives a Capstar tablet (nitenpyram) upon arrival for the treatment of flea infestation so that you may be assured that your pet is safe from becoming infected with external parasites. There is a five ($5) charge per pet for this treatment. Guests requiring specialized care are handled on a case-by-case basis. Just let us know what your pets' needs are and we will try to do our best to accommodate them!
