My cat, Fuzzy stayed here for a week while I was on vacation. I must say that she was well taken care of. She had never been boarded anyway (is a rescue kitty) and I guess she was a little shy. I loved the ‘condo’ she was staying in….had a place for her to hide out when she was feeling extra shy. Plus a couple levels for her to climb up on and observe “life.” Although she was happy to be home, I will surely board her here again, when the need arises. Barbara takes great care of your pet and the facility is clean, with large ‘cages’ for the kitties. Thank you for taking such good care of my little fat ball of Fuzzy!!

Hi Barbara!! Now that we are relocated up here in Canada, I wanted you to know that JJ was a real trooper and took the move just fine! She has settled in to our new home and loves sitting outside under our covered deck or wandering about with our little dog Bella checking out the pond and trees and flowers….I am so relieved that she is doing so well and looking so happy!! I want to thank you again for all the times that JJ stayed at the Cat Cottage. I could always tell that she loved being there and knowing that she was comfortable gave us peace of mind while we were away. Cat Cottage is the perfect place for your pet next to being home!!! I will send you some pictures of JJ in her new home soon. Great to have met you and I (and I’m sure JJ too) will always remember your wonderful facility with fondness……Libbie
Hi Barbara, Love your website, I can confirm your facilities are all that you say and more! I’ve never felt so comfortable leaving my cats to go out of town. I wanted you to know that I lost Big Al, I had him euthanized on March 20, he was having a lot of pain, and I felt it was the most humane thing to do for him. It was very hard, still is. So I am “catless” right now, I do miss Al so much. Regards, Julene

Hey Barbara, Glad to see the Cat Cottage now is on the web! Now even more folks can learn about your wonderful establishment. Thought I would drop a line in your comments section so others would know how my experence with the Cottage went… Well I have the pleasure of owning a one year old White Cockatoo female named Abigial or Abby for short and three cats which range in age from two to seven years in age and they are named Roscoe, Daisy, and Nia. We where faced with the dilemma of where to take the trio of cats and Abby while we where away celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary. The cats I wasn’t overly concerned about because they already have both a fresh water and food “Auto” feeders and would be fine until we returned but the Cockatoo is a whole different story because when they go with out human or mate contact for even the shortest amount of time they get severly depressed and in extreme cases they pluck their own feathers out. They have the mental capacity of a four year old and you would never think of leaving a four year old child alone either. I heard of the Cat Cottage through my family who I was trying to get to look after her and the cats while we where gone. They were going to be out as well… that’s when they told me to stop by and see the Cottage was a safe, secure, and clean place to babysit Abigail and the trio. I did just that… WOW this place was extremly clean and tidy! I noticed they even give the cats their own condos built into the wall. And these ARE NOT SMALL CAGES!…The enclosures go from the floor to the ceiling for just one cat!!!! (Unless you have cats that want to stay together) If so there is still plenty of room. There is even little hidy hole perches for the cats that like to hide. Her rates were more than fair! Considering how much contact and attention she pays to the animals from sun up to sundown. She lets the cats out of the condos the majority of the day as long as they play well with others and if you have a loner cat thats OK too because she can divide the cottage into sections and play individuly as well. The cottage DID NOT smell like any cats or birds where even there, unlike other facilities. The animals where even brushed out and if you had an older animal that needed arthritis medicine not a problem here either. When I visited she had several cats, birds, and two ferrets. They all get rotated in shifts all day long so everyone gets to play with NO RISKS of “Bird / Cat” accidents. They will give canned foods and treats if you bring it with you. So now I let them all stay together at the Cottage whenever we are away. Sorry, that I have wrote more of a sales pitch or a novel rather than comments…But I am just blown away that there was a facility operated with such high standards like this in northwest Arkansas! So needless to say I had no fear leaving my babies at the Cat Cottage. :- ) Sincerely, Nathan and Mandy Haley And of course: Roscoe, Daisy, Nia, and Abby.

A great place! You don’t have to worry about leaving your furry loved ones there. This place is different than any I have ever seen. I travel a lot and used to leave my two cats at the vets or have a neighbor check them. One of my cats likes to hog the food and the other had to go without. Now I take them to the Cat Cottage and I don’t have to worry about them until I return. It’s very clean and the owner is friendly and helpful with advise on behavioral problems. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. Your pets will get to stay in large ‘condos’ as they are called and they aren’t just left in the pens all the time either! They play in one of the playrooms several times a day. You’ll just have to check this place out. I think the Cat Cottage is the best place ever!

Hi, my name is Tuffy. I am a eight year old tuxedo cat, ‘a big fat fur ball’ from what I’ve been told. I LOVE staying at the Cat Cottage and you will too! It’s a great place to stay if you have to leave your home like I do when Mom thinks she needs another vacation and I can’t go. She packs up my buddy Tweetie (he’s a bird) and off we go. I’ve stayed lots of times now over the last three years and I always get lots of love and pampering. And who wouldn’t like that? After I get my daily brushing, we play ‘get the feather’ til I about drop! I’ve even lost some of my fat I’m told. It’s fun to investigate all the new toys and discover new friends that are just like me – away from home. I used to not like to be around other cats and I hissed and fussed alot. In fact, the Cat Cottage has some cats that live there all the time (lucky ducks). Now I enjoy my visits because I’ve learned that those two girl cats Val and Sage sure do like me! I guess it’s the fancy tuxedo I wear. I hope I get to meet you there sometime too – it’s a great place to be, meow! Your friend, Tuffy.

I needed a place for my cat, Sena, to stay for long term and the Cat Cottage was advised as an excellent choice. I found Sena’s boarding to be excellent in every way. Was too glad she had enjoyed some ‘friends’ visiting. Will of course keep your facilities in mind for the future times of boarding.
I’ve never been a fan of boarding pets, but I must say that I have always felt extremely comfortable leaving my kitty with Barbara. Her facility is extremely clean and she gives each animal special attention. Actually my pets have not missed me at all while away. Its the BEST.
