What to Bring/ Requirements

Meals

Because many cats don't adapt well to an abrupt change in food, owners need to bring their pets' regular dietary needs. If your pet also requires canned foods we will feed those on his usual feeding schedule. We gladly cater to special diets and health concerns. Please bring foods in a clearly marked container or package with pets’ name and dispensing instructions.  All pets have access to fresh clean water at all times.  For our guests, we use only filtered water to satisfy even the most discerning kitty.

Vaccinations

You must provide written proof from a licensed veterinarian of your pets’ vaccinations. We only accept veterinary administered vaccinations.  You may attach copies when making online reservation applications.  If your pets' vaccinations are not current you must have them vaccinated seven (7) days prior to arrival to allow your pet to be fully protected.  To assure the health of all of our special guests, we require proof that the following minimum vaccinations are current to secure your reservation:  Rabies & Distemper.  Very young pets must be age appropriate vaccinated if not old enough for Rabies.  All pets must be neutered/spayed if over the age of 5 months.

Litter & Litter Box

Many cats object to using an unfamiliar litter box and litter. Owners should bring an appropriate sized litter box for your pets' body size along with enough scoop-able unscented clumping litter for duration of pets’ stay.

Medications

If your pet requires medications we are able to accommodate his or her special needs.  All medications should be clearly labeled with name and dosage along with dispensing schedule.

Optional:

If you would like to bring your pets' favorite toys, you are welcome to. If not, Cat Cottage provides a variety of  toys for your pets' stay at no extra cost. We also provide all bedding and ask that you not bring any bedding or pet beds.
